URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...MORE ACCUMULATING WINTRY PRECIPITATION ON THE WAY...

.A COLD FRONT WILL PUSH THROUGH THE AREA TODAY AND TONIGHT. COLD
ARCTIC AIR WILL MOVE IN BEHIND THE FRONT TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
PRECIPITATION WILL BEGIN TO DEVELOP LATE TONIGHT AND IS EXPECTED
TO TRANSITION FROM RAIN TO FREEZING RAIN...TO SLEET AND THEN SNOW
FROM NORTH TO SOUTH TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. ONLY A FEW
HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE ACCRETION IS EXPECTED BEFORE FREEZING
RAIN TRANSITIONS OVER TO SLEET AND SNOW.

SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES ON WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY ACROSS
SOUTHERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL MISSOURI. A HALF INCH OR MORE OF SLEET
WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE WARNING AREA...ALONG WITH 4 TO 6
INCHES OF SNOW. FURTHER NORTH AND WEST IN THE ADVISORY AREA...LESSER
AMOUNTS OF SLEET AND SNOW ARE EXPECTED...WITH TWO TO FOUR INCHES
OF SNOW OVER THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR.

THE EXACT TIMING OF PRECIPITATION TRANSITIONS REMAINS A
CHALLENGE...AND WILL HAVE A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON EVENTUAL
FREEZING RAIN...SLEET...AND SNOW TOTALS. AS A RESULT...ADDITIONAL

STORM WARNING FOR SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 3 AM WEDNESDAY TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY. THE WINTER STORM
WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...AREAS ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF A LINE
  FROM KIMBERLING CITY...TO MARSHFIELD TO SALEM FROM VERY LATE
  TONIGHT UNTIL EARLY THURSDAY MORNING.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...A HALF INCH OR MORE OF
  SLEET...ALONG WITH 4 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE
