MORNING...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT SNOW AND PATCHY FREEZING
DRIZZLE REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST THIS MORNING.

* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SNOW WAS FALLING FROM EASTERN KANSAS INTO
  CENTRAL MISSOURI OR GENERALLY NORTH OF A LINE FROM FORT SCOTT
  KANSAS TO ROLLA MISSOURI EARLY THIS MORNING. THIS SNOWFALL WILL
  PERSIST THROUGH 7 AM. AREAS OF DRIZZLE AND PATCHY FREEZING
  DRIZZLE WAS OBSERVED ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS
  AND FAR SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS. TEMPERATURES WERE HOVERING NEAR OR
  JUST ABOVE THE FREEZING MARK.

  HIGHWAY DEPARTMENTS INDICATED THAT PRIMARY ROUTES RANGED FROM
  MOSTLY CLEAR TO PARTLY COVERED. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS SINCE
  WEDNESDAY EVENING HAVE GENERALLY RANGED FROM A TRACE TO NEAR ONE
  INCH. ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AN INCH MAY OCCUR
  ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI OR GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF HIGHWAY
  54.

* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...ALL OF THE MISSOURI OZARKS AND
  SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS THROUGH MID MORNING THURSDAY.

* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE
  FROM A DUSTING TO HALF INCH ACROSS FAR SOUTHERN MISSOURI WITH UP
  TO AROUND AN INCH ACROSS CENTRAL MISSOURI.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE MAY RESULT IN A THIN
  GLAZE OF ICE IN LOCALIZE AREAS.

* IMPACTS...THE WINTRY MIX WILL RESULT SOME TRAVEL IMPACTS
  ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES...OVERPASSES AND SECONDARY OR UNTREATED
  ROADS. TRAVEL CONDITIONS COULD VARY CONSIDERABLY OVER SHORT
  DISTANCES GOING FROM WET ROADWAYS TO ICE AND SNOW COVERED
  ROADWAYS.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF WINTER
PRECIPITATION WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE
DRIVING.
