.SYNOPSIS...
A weak trough will bring a few degrees of cooling Thursday and
Friday. It will also deepen the marine layer with low clouds near
the coast tonight spreading farther into valleys the next two
nights. High pressure returns to the area Sunday and Monday for
warmer days and a shallower marine layer. Next week a trough will
bring cooler, breezy weather Tuesday through Thursday.

SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

A shallow marine layer will steadily deepen through Saturday as a
weak upper trough moves over the region. Low clouds and fog confined
to the coastal zones tonight will spread a farther inland Thursday
night and Friday night. The trough will also bring a few degrees of
cooling.

The trough moves east Saturday and weak ridging Sunday and Monday
will bring warmer days and a shallower marine.

Next week a trough deepening down the coastal will bring cooler
weather Tuesday through Thursday along with a  deeper marine layer.
It will also bring gusty mountain and desert winds.

.AVIATION...
180430Z...Coast...Areas of low clouds/fog will develop within 10
miles of the coast 06Z-09Z Thu, with cloud bases 500-1000 ft MSL and
tops to 1100 ft MSL. Local VIS 1-4 miles will occur over higher
coastal terrain 07Z-16Z Thu. However, timing and location are low-
confidence, including at coastal TAF sites, and some locations could
have TEMPO CIG/VIS reductions. Clearing will occur in most areas 15Z-
17Z Thu. Stratus will return Thu evening but with higher cloud bases.

Otherwise...Occasional SCT/BKN high clouds at/above 20000 ft MSL
will continue through Thu afternoon, decreasing Thu evening. VIS
will remain unrestricted.

.MARINE...
No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Monday.

.BEACHES...
A long-period swell (3 feet/17 seconds/200 deg) from the southern
hemisphere will continue to bring surf to 6 feet through Thursday,
especially on south-facing beaches. This will generate a high rip
current risk.
