...Excessive Rainfall Could Lead to Flash Flooding Across
Portions of Southeast Kentucky through Sunday Afternoon...

.A stalled frontal boundary over the southern portion of eastern
Kentucky will interact with a slowly passing area of low pressure
to bring a period of moderate to heavy showers through Sunday. The
best chances for heavier rainfall and excess runoff will be near
the Virginia and Tennessee state lines.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of south central Kentucky and southeast Kentucky,
  including the following areas, in south central Kentucky,
  Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Wayne, and Whitley. In southeast
  Kentucky, Bell, Clay, Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Knox, Leslie,
  Letcher, Perry, and Pike.

* Through Sunday afternoon.

* Event total rainfall amounts generally between 1.5 to 2.5 inches
  are expected with locally higher amounts possible.

* Heavy rainfall could lead to flooding of low lying areas.
  Additionally, fast rises on area rivers, creeks, and streams are
  likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
