PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People with interests along the river should take the necessary precautions to
protect life and property from the flood waters.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Cape Fear At William O Huske Lock And Dam 3.
* from Saturday morning to Monday afternoon.
* At  9:00 AM Friday the stage was 39.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 42.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue to rise to
  near 43.8 feet by early Sunday morning.the river will fall below flood stage
  by early Monday morning.
* Impact...At 45.0 feet...Flood waters will affect areas along the left bank of
  the river with some minor overflow along the right bank.

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Lumber Near Lumberton.
* until Tuesday afternoon.
* At  7:00 AM Friday the stage was 13.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 13.9 feet by tomorrow
  morning. The river will fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Low land flooding will occur along the river. The flood
  waters may affect some residential property as water backs up into the
  drainage ditches in the city.

  The Little Pee Dee At Galivants Ferry.
* until further notice.
* At  9:00 AM Friday the stage was 9.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to a stage of 9.5 feet by tomorrow
  morning.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet...Flood waters will begin to affect residential yards in
  the Fork Retch community upstream of Galivants Ferry near the town of Nichols.
  Swampland flooding becomes noticeable and natural boat landings will be
  flooded.
