Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
451 AM MDT Wed Apr 26 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...We will transition to stronger
northwest flow aloft through tonight. Temperatures will remain
below normal with slightly lower humidity levels across the plains
today. Northwesterly surface winds will become breezy for the
afternoon, aiding mixing and smoke dispersion.

Snow showers will become more numerous across the mountains during
the afternoon, and then widespread and heavier tonight. Plains
will see isolated showers, with a low threat of thunder.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday through Sunday...A cold northwest
flow pattern will be over the area Thursday and Friday, and
eventually a stronger storm system will drop into the Four
Corners late Friday into Saturday. This will bring more widespread
precipitation and even colder weather to the forecast area during
this period. Instability and moderate flow aloft will aid smoke
dispersion through the period. Some warming can be expected by
Sunday as the storm exits the region.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
