Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
243 PM MDT Mon Jul 24 2017

.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Tuesday...Broad high pressure aloft will
gradually shift more into New Mexico and Texas which will draw
more moisture into Colorado. The best chance for storms this
evening will be over the mountains with only isolated coverage
over the lower elevations. Tuesday will bring increased moisture
and a better chance for storms.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday night through Saturday...Showers and
thunderstorm chances will remain high on Wednesday behind a cool
front. Relative humidity will increase and with a great deal of
cloud, cooler temperatures will occur area-wide Wednesday
afternoon. Mountain areas could see locally heavy rainfall during
the afternoon and evening hours. Winds behind the front could gust
out of the north over 25 mph across the Plains Wednesday
afternoon. Other than that winds should not be an impact across
our area in the extended. Thurdsay through Saturday should remain
slightly below normal temperature-wise, weak winds, and chances of
afternoon thunderstorms in the mountains. The Plains will have
reduced thunderstorm chances Thursday through Saturday but
relative humidity values will remain reasonably high each
afternoon with values bottoming out at around 30 percent.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
