FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
512 AM EST WED FEB 10 2016

.DISCUSSION...WINDY AND DRY CONDITIONS WILL OCCUR TODAY.
WEST WINDS WILL GUST TO 25 TO 30 MPH. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY
WILL BE AROUND 25 PERCENT. THE WIND AND COLD TEMPERATURES WILL
OCCUR BECAUSE OF THE FLOW BETWEEN STRONG LOW PRESSURE NEAR THE
NORTHEAST COAST AND THE PRESSURE RIDGE IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER
VALLEY. THE RIDGE WILL BE NEAR THE FORECAST AREA TONIGHT AND
THURSDAY. IT WILL REMAIN COLD BUT WITH LESS WIND. AN AREA OF
LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP ALONG A WEAK FRONT JUST SOUTH OF THE
FORECAST AREA LATE THURSDAY NIGHT. THE LOW WILL BE NEAR THE
SOUTH CAROLINA COAST EARLY FRIDAY AND FARTHER OFF THE COAST
FRIDAY AFTERNOON. NO FOG IS FORECAST THROUGH THURSDAY.
