FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
225 PM EDT SUN MAY 29 2016

.DISCUSSION...

TROPICAL STORM BONNIE HAS MOVED INLAND NEAR CHARLESTON AND HAS WEAKENED
INTO A DEPRESSION. FORECAST MOVEMENT WILL SLOWLY TAKE THE SYSTEM NORTH
ALONG THE ERN COASTAL PLAIN OF SC OVER THE NEXT 24-36 HOURS. EXPECT RAIN
TO CONTINUE ACROSS MOST OF OUR FORECAST AREA (FA), WITH LOCALLY HEAVY
AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. WEAKENING DYNAMICS AND DRY AIR ENTRAINMENT SHOULD SLOW
THE RATE AND COVERAGE OF SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS AS THE LOW MOVES NNE.
SURFACE AND TRANSPORT WINDS THROUGH THE PERIOD ARE EXPECTED TO BE
GENERALLY N-NE THROUGH THE NEXT 48-72 HRS.
