Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
229 PM CDT Mon May 29 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening and
will diminish by midnight. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms
will be possible again Tuesday into Wednesday with the highest
coverage each afternoon. A weak cold front is to the west as of
this writing and will slowly make it`s way to the area and likely
stall right over northern Alabama. Winds will be light and
variable and slightly out of the west tonight with the front.
Winds stay light and variable Tuesday and Tuesday night and shift
around to the northwest Wednesday afternoon behind another cold
front. There won`t be much relief in the rain as it looks like
scattered thunderstorms are possible each day from Thursday
through the weekend.

To note, with the rainfall today and cooling expected tonight,
patchy fog is possible across the area.

Due to the continued rainfall, minimum RH values will be above
40-50 percent through the next few days. With the light winds as
well, Red Flag Conditions are not expected in the coming days.
