FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
245 PM CST MON JAN 26 2015

.DISCUSSION...
CLOUDS SHOULD ONCE AGAIN INCREASE DURING THE OVERNIGHT...AS A
WEAK UPPER SYSTEM APPROACHES FROM THE NORTHWEST. IT COULD BRING
FLURRIES TO PORTIONS OF FAR NORTHEAST ALABAMA (MAINLY JACKSON
AND DEKALB COUNTIES) LATE TONIGHT THROUGH MID MORNING TUESDAY.
MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND COOL CONDITIONS WILL OTHERWISE PREVAIL
TUESDAY...WITH NORTHWEST WINDS OF 5-10 MPH. TRANSPORT WINDS
FROM THE NORTH 15-20 MPH...AND MIXING HEIGHTS AROUND 2500 FEET
WILL RESULT IN GENERALLY GOOD DISPERSION RATES.

DRY AND WARMER CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST FOR THE MID-WEEK...WITH
HIGHS RISING INTO THE LOWER 50S. LIGHT WINDS AT THE SURFACE AND
ALOFT WILL PRODUCE POOR DISPERISON RATES ON WEDNESDAY.

ANOTHER WEAK CLIPPER SYSTEM APPROACHING THE OHIO VALLEY...WILL
BRING INCREASED CLOUDS AND A CHANCE OF RAIN ON THURSDAY.
LOCATIONS NEAR THE TENNESSEE/ALABAMA STATELINE AND NORTHEAST
ALABAMA WILL HAVE SOMEWHAT HIGHER RAIN CHANCES.
