Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
445 AM PST Sun Feb 18 2018

.DISCUSSION...A cold front is passing through southern Oregon and
northern California this morning. Snow levels will fall to about
2000 feet by sunrise. The heaviest rain and snow will occur this
morning before becoming showery in nature. Once the sun sets, snow
levels will the fall to sea level. A few lingering showers will
create the possibility for snow all the way to the beaches. Things
will dry out by Monday evening, but this will lead to dangerously
cold temperatures east of the Cascades where there is snow cover.
This pattern will continue through the week with a weak system
bring additional light precipitation to the area midweek and a
stronger system bringing more precipitation to the forecast late
in the week and the weekend.
