FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST VIRGINIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
1041 PM EDT TUE AUG 19 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A HAZY...WARM...AND MUGGY LATE SUMMER NIGHT WAS IN PROGRESS.

A MID TO UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE APPROACHES LATE TONIGHT FROM THE
MIDWEST. SO...DESPITE THE LACK OF CONVECTION TUESDAY EVENING...AN
INCREASE IN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IS FIGURED FOR OVERNIGHT
INTO WEDNESDAY MORNING. ANY SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM COULD PRODUCE A
DOWNPOUR.

THE ENVIRONMENT WILL REMAIN VERY WARM...HUMID AND UNSETTLED
THROUGHOUT THIS WEEK...AS WEAK DISTURBANCES CROSS. ANY CLUSTER OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COULD EASILY PRODUCE DOWNPOURS...AND CAUSE
LOCALIZED WATER ISSUES. FURTHERMORE...AREAS THAT GET HIT REPEATEDLY
DURING THE WEEK...WILL BECOME VULNERABLE TO MORE SERIOUS FLASH
FLOODING ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS. STRONG RISES ON SOME
HEADWATERS RIVERS COULD EVEN OCCUR.
