...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

THE HOTTEST WEATHER SO FAR THIS YEAR IS EXPECTED OVER THE WEEKEND
WITH HIGHS APPROACHING RECORD LEVELS IN SOME AREAS. TEMPERATURES
WILL SLOWLY RETURN TO NEAR NORMAL BY THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK WITH
INCREASING AFTERNOON BREEZES AS A WEAK TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES
OVER THE WESTERN STATES.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

BUILDING HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL REDUCE THE MARINE LAYER
DEPTH...WEAKEN ONSHORE FLOW AND BRING WARMING INLAND THROUGH THE
WEEKEND...WHILE THE MARINE LAYER CONTINUES HIGHER HUMIDITY WITH
NIGHT AND MORNING LOW CLOUDS AND FOG CLOSER TO THE COAST. FOR SUNDAY
THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK...A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE INLAND
ALONG THE WEST COAST. THIS WILL BRING STRONGER ONSHORE FLOW...AND A
COOLING TREND...ALONG WITH A DEEPENING OF THE MARINE LAYER AND
HIGHER RELATIVE HUMIDITY.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL TRACK ACROSS THE INTERIOR WEST PASS
OVER THE INTERIOR WESTERN STATES THIS WEEKEND. ANTICIPATE HIGH
TEMPERATURES TO BE AT LEAST 2-3 DEGREES WARMER SATURDAY WITH LITTLE
CHANGE SUNDAY. WINDS WILL FOLLOW TYPICAL WARM SEASON DIURNAL
PATTERNS SATURDAY. LOCALLY BREEZY CONDITIONS ARE ANTICIPATED ON
SUNDAY...FAVORING EASTERLY DIRECTIONS OVER SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA AND
SOUTHERLY DIRECTIONS ELSEWHERE. ALSO ON SUNDAY THERE WILL BE A
SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF
SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA.
