.DISCUSSION...
Southerly winds will prevail across central and southeast Illinois
into midweek. These winds will transport increasingly mild and
more humid air into the area. Periods of showers and thunderstorms
are expected as well, with tonight and Tuesday afternoon into
Wednesday the primary rainy periods. Smoke dispersion will
generally be good today, with Mixing Heights above 4000 feet by
afternoon and modest southerly winds. Smoke dispersion potential
and Mixing Heights fall off tomorrow in most areas, even though it
will be windier
