.DISCUSSION...

HIGH PRESSURE EXTENDING FROM THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY TO THE MIDSOUTH
EARLY THIS MORNING WILL MOVE EASTWARD TODAY. WINDS WILL BECOME
LIGHT SOUTHEAST TODAY. CLOUDS WILL COVER MUCH OF THE AREA BUT NO
RAIN IS EXPECTED. TEMPERATURES WILL WARM TO A LITTLE ABOVE NORMAL
THIS AFTERNOON.

A WARM FRONT WILL APPROACH THE MIDSOUTH FROM THE SOUTHWEST TONIGHT. A
COLD FRONT FOLLOWED BY MUCH COLDER AIR WILL SWEEP INTO THE MIDSOUTH
SUNDAY. AS A RESULT...SHOWERS WILL SPREAD INTO THE REGION BEGINNING
MAINLY AFTER MIDNIGHT AND OCCUR ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA SUNDAY.
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE
40. WINDS WILL INCREASE FROM THE SOUTHWEST SUNDAY AHEAD OF THE
COLD FRONT BECOMING GUSTY IN SOME LOCATIONS.

MUCH COLDER AIR WILL FOLLOW THE FRONT SUNDAY NIGHT WITH STRONG AND
GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS. PRECIPITATION MAY END AS A FEW FLURRIES OR
LIGHT SNOW. ONLY MINOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS IF ANY ARE EXPECTED NEAR
THE TN RIVER VALLEY OF WEST TN.

DRY BUT VERY COLD WEATHER WILL OCCUR MONDAY.
