SPOT FORECAST FOR BRIDGE DAY SATURDAY...NWS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON WV
535 AM EDT SAT OCT 18 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A DRY COLD FRONT EXITS EAST THIS MORNING. COLDER AIR WILL FILTER IN
BEHIND THE FRONT TODAY...BRINGING SOME RAIN SHOWERS WITH IT...MAINLY
TO THE MOUNTAINS.

AS MOISTURE SLOWLY PULLS OUT TONIGHT INTO SUNDAY...RAIN SHOWERS WILL
CHANGE OVER TO SNOW SHOWERS AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF THE NORTHERN
AND CENTRAL MOUNTAINS OF WEST VIRGINIA.

WITH HIGH PRESSURE CROSSING SUNDAY...WE CAN EXPECT A COOL
DAY...ALTHOUGH SOME LATE DAY SUNSHINE MAY HELP EASE THE CHILL.
SUNDAY NIGHT MAY BRING THE FIRST FROST OR FREEZE TO MUCH OF THE
LOWLANDS.

CLOUDS WILL BE ON THE INCREASE AGAIN ON MONDAY...AS ANOTHER COLD
FRONT APPROACHES THE AREA. SHOWERS MAY ARRIVE BY THE END OF THE
DAY...BUT ARE MOST LIKELY TO MOVE EAST ACROSS THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT
AND TUESDAY...AS THE COLD FRONT CROSSES.

THIS COLD FRONT WILL SET US UP WITH COOL WEATHER FOR THE BALANCE OF
THE WORK WEEK. IT WILL BE A BIT UNSETTLED THROUGH THURSDAY...WITH
LOTS OF CLOUDS...AND A FEW SHOWERS. THE BEST CHANCE FOR A SNOW
SHOWERS IS OVER THE VERY HIGHEST TERRAIN LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO
THURSDAY MORNING.
