SPOT FORECAST FOR LOWER EBBS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
729 PM MDT MON JUL 25 2016

.DISCUSSION...LINGERING MOISTURE THIS EVENING WILL MAINTAIN A
CHANCE OF HIGH BASED SHOWERS/VIRGA THROUGH THE REMAINDER OF THE
EVENING...WHICH CARRY A SMALL THREAT OF LOCALIZED DOWNBURST WINDS.
OTHERWISE HIGH PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN ACROSS THE AREA OVER THE
NEXT FEW DAYS RESULTING IN WARMER TEMPERATURES...LOWER AFTERNOON
RH AND INCREASINGLY POOR OVERNIGHT RECOVERY. LIGHT FLOW ASSOCIATED
WITH THIS HIGH WILL RESULT IN SLOPE DRIVEN WINDS EACH DAY...WITH
WINDS SWITCHING TO UPVALLEY/UPSLOPE BY 1000 EACH DAY.

AS THIS HIGH STRENGTHENS TUESDAY DRIER AIR MOVING INTO THE AREA
SHOULD RESULT IN FEWER AFTERNOON BUILDUPS AND SIGNIFICANTLY LIMIT
ANY LINGERING CHANCE FOR AFTERNOON SHOWERS/THUNDERSTORMS. MOISTURE
IS NOT EXPECTED TO RETURN TO THE AREA UNTIL FRIDAY AT THE
EARLIEST...BUT MORE LIKELY OVER THE WEEKEND BRINGING THE NEXT
CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
