Spot Forecast for South Monroe Rx
National Weather Service Salt Lake City UT

.DISCUSSION...A weak boundary moved through central Utah overnight
and will exit the area this morning. The ridge will move in over
the region this weekend but there is expected to be a slight
increase of moisture as we move into early next week, Initially
look for some build ups over the higher terrain Sunday and then by
Monday afternoon there is a slight chance of afternoon
thunderstorms. This could become chance by Tuesday afternoon but
models are varying on their solutions by then. By Wednesday a
trough moves onto the west coast and depending on its strength,
could tap some sub tropical moisture and bring an increase in
southerly winds as well. For now will call for a chance of showers
and thunderstorms for Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. Amount of
precip is expected to be less than 0.10 of an inch Wednesday and
Thursday, but due to the convective nature any thunderstorm could
produce a quick 0.25 of an inch.

The trough moves out by Friday with another ridge expected to
move into the region Friday through Sunday.
