Open Lake Forecast for Lake Huron

For waters beyond five nautical miles off shore on Lake Huron

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure...30.10 inches...will continue to push
east from the Central Plains into Great Lakes/Ohio Valley by
Thursday afternoon. A secondary cold front will also push through on
Thursday as northwesterly flow veers more northerly Thursday morning
into Thursday evening, bringing concerns for waterspout activity
throughout the day. Otherwise, high pressure will remained situated
over the Great Lakes and will strengthen slightly to 30.20 inches
Friday and Saturday, before moving east out of the area on Sunday.

.TONIGHT...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to
15 knots after midnight. Waterspouts likely. Waves 4 to 6 feet.
.THURSDAY...North winds 5 to 10 knots. Waterspouts likely. Waves
2 to 4 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet in the late morning and
afternoon. Waves occasionally around 8 feet.
.THURSDAY NIGHT...North winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to
10 knots after midnight. Waterspouts likely early in the evening.
Waves 1 to 3 feet.
.FRIDAY...North winds 5 to 10 knots until late afternoon becoming
light and variable. Waves 2 feet or less.
.FRIDAY NIGHT...Light and variable winds becoming west 5 to
10 knots after midnight. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SATURDAY...West winds 5 to 10 knots in the morning becoming
light and variable...then becoming southeast 5 to 10 knots late
in the evening. Waves 2 feet or less.
.SUNDAY...Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots becoming east 10 to
15 knots until early morning. Waves 2 feet or less.
.MONDAY...Southeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Waves 1 to 3 feet.
