...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM APPROACHING THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Waters from Baffin Bay to Port Aransas from 20 to 60 NM...
  Waters from Port Aransas to Matagorda Ship Channel from 20 to 60
  NM...

At 146 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a strong thunderstorm, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. This
thunderstorm was located 44 nm southeast of Malaquite Beach, or 50 nm
southeast of Port Aransas, moving northeast at 35 knots.

The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until this storm passes.
