CATALINA AND ANACAPA ISLANDS-

...GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS AND CHOPPY SEAS WILL AFFECT THE INNER WATERS
AND CATALINA ISLAND INCLUDING AVALON HARBOR THROUGH SATURDAY...

GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS AND CHOPPY SEAS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE INNER
COASTAL WATERS THIS MORNING AND CONTINUE AT TIMES THROUGH EARLY
SATURDAY AFTERNOON. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH GALE FORCE ACROSS
PORTIONS OF THE INNER WATERS TODAY...SO A GALE WARNING IS IN EFFECT.

WINDS WILL BE STRONGEST NEARSHORE FROM SANTA MONICA TO VENTURA AND
OUT TO SANTA CRUZ AND ANACAPA ISLANDS...AND ACROSS THE SAN PEDRO
CHANNEL. FREQUENT GUSTS TO 35 KNOTS ARE EXPECTED IN THESE AREAS
THROUGH THIS EVENING. STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS AND CHOPPY NORTHEAST
WIND WAVES WILL LIKELY AFFECT MOST OF THE UNPROTECTED FRONT SIDE
OF CATALINA ISLAND...INCLUDING AVALON HARBOR AND TWO HARBORS.

IMPROPERLY ANCHORED OR MOORED VESSELS MAY BECOME LOOSE AND
DAMAGED...AND MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO OTHER VESSELS IN THE VICINITY.
MARINERS SHOULD AVOID THESE AREAS...OR REMAIN IN SAFE HARBOR UNTIL
CONDITIONS IMPROVE.
