...GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS WILL BRING CHOPPY SEAS TO THE INNER
WATERS THROUGH SUNDAY...

...HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS POSSIBLE FOR AVALON AND TWO HARBORS
THROUGH SUNDAY...

Gusty northeast winds and choppy seas will continue over the
coastal waters southeast of Point Conception through today. Wind
gusts up to 25 knots are expected during the period, with isolated
gusts up to 35 knots.

These winds will especially affect near shore areas from Ventura
to Santa Monica, including Santa Cruz and Anacapa Islands. Gusty
northeast winds and choppy seas up to 5 feet will move through
the San Pedro Channel and affect most of the unprotected front
side of Santa Catalina Island, including Avalon Harbor and Two
Harbors.

This is a potentially hazardous situation for Avalon and Two
Harbors, and any other east facing anchorage in the Channel
Islands. Improperly anchored or moored vessels may become loose
and damaged and may cause damage to other vessels in the vicinity.
Mariners who normally anchor in these harbors are urged to move
their vessels to the south side of Santa Catalina Island before
the hazardous conditions develop late tonight.
