...STRONG WINDS AND ELEVATED SEAS EXPECTED TODAY AS LOW PRESSURE
SYSTEM MOVES ALONG THE COAST...

.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ALONG THE NORTH CAROLINA COAST
TODAY. BRIEF PERIOD OF GALE FORCE WINDS EXPECTED FOR THE WATERS
SOUTH OF OREGON INLET THIS MORNING INTO EARLY AFTERNOON AS LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES ALONG THE COAST. WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE
WEST AND NORTHWEST ONCE THE LOW MOVES NORTHEAST...BY EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON. SEAS WILL PEAK AT 8 TO 13 FEET TODAY. WINDS WILL
DIMINISH SLIGHTLY OVERNIGHT THOUGH SEAS WILL LINGER ABOVE 6 FEET
FOR THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY.
