...Wind Advisory In Effect For All of North and Central Texas
Today...

.A strong cold front will move quickly through North Texas later
this morning, then through Central Texas by midday and after.
North-northwest winds behind the front are expected to be 20 to
30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph at times possible, especially
across the northern and western parts of the region.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 5 PM CST
THIS AFTERNOON...

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 5 PM CST
this afternoon.

* TIMING...Late morning through the end of the afternoon.

* WINDS...North-northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to, or in
  excess of 35 mph at times in wake of a strong cold front.

* IMPACTS...Lightweight and loose objects that are not secured may
  easily be displaced. High profile vehicles will likely
  experience difficultly traveling on east to west oriented roads
  and highways due to dangerous cross winds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 20 to
30 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Boaters should
use extra caution when venturing onto area lakes. Residents may
wish to take action to secure trash cans...lawn furniture...and
other lightweight outdoor objects that may be blown around in the
strong winds.
