(JUNE-AUGUST) 2015 FOR CHICAGO AND ROCKFORD...

AT CHICAGO...THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE SUMMER SEASON WAS
79.9 DEGREES WHICH IS 2.0 DEGREES BELOW THE 1981 TO 2010 AVERAGE.
THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 61.0 DEGREES WHICH IS 0.7 DEGREES
BELOW NORMAL. THE MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR THE SEASON WAS 70.5 DEGREES
WHICH IS 1.3 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL.

A TOTAL OF 12.13 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED DURING THIS
PAST SUMMER...WHICH IS 0.08 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THERE WAS A
TOTAL OF A TRACE OF SNOW RECORDED AT OHARE...WHICH FELL IN THE FORM
OF HAIL.

RECORDS ESTABLISHED OR TIED DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS:
DAILY RECORD...
JUNE 15...SET RECORD FOR DAILY MAXIMUM RAINFALL OF 2.56 INCHES.
          PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 0.96 INCHES SET IN 1982.

MONTHLY RECORD...
JUNE...9TH WETTEST JUNE ON RECORD SINCE 1871 WITH 7.12 INCHES.

AT ROCKFORD...THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 81.1 DEGREES WHICH IS
1.6 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 60.7
DEGREES WHICH IS 0.3 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR
THE SEASON WAS 70.9 DEGREES WHICH IS 0.9 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL.

A TOTAL OF 13.34 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED DURING THIS
PAST SUMMER...WHICH WAS 0.15 OF AN INCH ABOVE NORMAL. IN
ADDITION...NO SNOW WAS RECORDED FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS.
