DISCUSSION:

WITH A STALLED OUT FRONT ON THE CENTRAL COAST...PERIODS OF STEADY
LIGHT RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT SOME AREAS NORTH OF POINT
CONCEPTION THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT. THE BEST CHANCES OF RAIN ON THE
CENTRAL COAST WILL BE THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING...THEN AGAIN
FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ANOTHER ROUND OF LIGHT RAIN IS
POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT AS THE FRONT FINALLY PUSHES SOUTHWARD
THROUGH THE REGION. THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN FOR AREAS
SOUTH OF POINT CONCEPTION SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 1.00" ARE POSSIBLE ALONG THE
COASTAL SLOPES IN NORTHERN SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY THROUGH SATURDAY
NIGHT...WITH 0.10-0.50" FOR OTHER AREAS ON THE CENTRAL COAST.
RAINFALL TOTALS FOR ALL AREAS SOUTH OF POINT CONCEPTION WILL LIKELY
BE 0.00-0.10".

ALTHOUGH RAINFALL TOTALS IN NORTWEST SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY COULD BE
IMPRESSIVE DUE TO THE LONG DURATION OF THIS EVENT...RAINFALL RATES
SHOULD STAY WELL BELOW 0.25 IN/HR AND WILL LIKELY STAY BELOW 0.15
IN/HR. THUNDERSTORMS AND SNOW WILL NOT BE AN ISSUE.

DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY NEXT WEEK. A FAST-
MOVING UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH COULD BRING MORE RAIN TO THE REGION LATE
NEXT WEEK.
