WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

LAKE EFFECT SNOW CONTINUED MAINLY ACROSS NORTHWEST INDIANA LATE
THIS AFTERNOON. HIGH TEMPERATURES MADE IT INTO THE TEENS TO NEAR
20 DEGREES. WITH NORTHWEST WINDS AROUND 10 TO 15 MPH...WIND CHILL
READINGS RANGED FROM 5 ABOVE ZERO TO 5 BELOW ZERO.

HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN PLAINS WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST TO
WESTERN ILLINOIS BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. SKIES WILL CLEAR ACROSS
NORTHERN ILLINOIS TONIGHT AND OVER NORTHWEST INDIANA BY MORNING. A
FEW INCHES OF ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATION IS POSSIBLE TONIGHT ACROSS
NORTHWEST INDIANA WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE NEAR THE
LAKE. COLD AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION AGAIN...AND LOWS TONIGHT
WILL RANGE FROM ZERO TO 10 BELOW ZERO. WIND CHILL READINGS WILL
RANGE FROM 15 TO 25 DEGREES BELOW ZERO. WITH THE ARCTIC HIGH OVER
THE AREA WE CAN EXPECT DRY BUT COLD CONDITIONS TO PREVAIL FRIDAY
AND MOST OF SATURDAY WITH HIGHS FRIDAY IN THE TEENS...THEN WARMING
INTO THE 20S ON SATURDAY. ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM WILL THEN MOVE INTO
THE REGION SATURDAY NIGHT BRINGING THE CHANCES OF SNOW THAT WILL
CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY. LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE POSSIBLE DURING
THIS TIME.
