AN AREA OF LIGHT RAIN...MIXED WITH LIGHT SNOW MOVED INTO THE
NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA REGION SHORTLY BEFORE
SUNRISE. DURING THE MORNING HOUR...WHERE THE THE PRECIPITATION HAD
SWITCHED TO ALL SNOW...ACCUMUALTIONS RANGED FROM TRACE AMONTS TO
JUST OVER AN INCH. TEMPERATURES BY LATE MORNING WERE MAINLY IN THE
LOWER TO MID 30S...BUT HAD SLIPPED INTO UPPER 20S IN WESTERN
ILLINOIS...AS NORTHEAST WINDS WERE GUSTING TO 32 MPH.

THIS AFTERNOON...AS A COLD FRONT CONTINUES TO SLIP SOUTHWARD...
PERIODS OF LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE
20S AND GUSTY NORTHEAST WINDS CONTINUE. SOME PARTS OF THE REGION MAY
SEE TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES. ALL SNOW IS EXPECTED
TO COME TO AN END BY LATE AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING. A QUIET BUT
COLD PERIOD IS EXPECTED TONIGHT BEFORE ANOTHER FAST MOVING CLIPPER
TYPE SYSTEM BRINGS ANOTHER CHANCE FOR SNOW MONDAY AFTERNOON INTO
MONDAY EVENING...WITH LITTLE ACCUMULATION EXPECTED. HIGH
TEMPERATURES ON MONDAY WILL BE IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER
30S...MODERATING TO THE LOWER TO MID 30S ON TUESDAY AS QUIET WEATHER
RETURNS WITH HIGH PRESSURE MOVING THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES REGION.
