...LOCALLY DENSE FOG OVER THE NORTHWESTERN KENAI PENINSULA...

A MARINE LAYER OF LOW CLOUDS AND FOG DEVELOPED OVER LOWER COOK
INLET OVERNIGHT AND HAS PUSHED NORTHWARD. WHERE THE FOG EXISTS IT
IS LOCALLY DENSE...REDUCING VISIBILITY BELOW ONE HALF MILE AT
TIMES. THE FOG APPEARS TO BE THICKEST FROM THE NIKISKI TO STERLING
AREAS. DAYTIME HEATING IS EXPECTED TO HELP LIFT THE FOG BY THE
LATE MORNING HOURS...THOUGH THE LOW CLOUDS MAY TAKE A BIT LONGER
TO BURN OFF TODAY.

AREA RESIDENTS AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO
EXERCISE EXTRA CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING THIS MORNING.
