...Expect Fog to Persist through the Evening...

Fog continues to expand across central Iowa, and will be dense in
some locations. Visibilities of no better than a mile or two will
be common through the early evening hours, with some locations
seeing dense fog and visibilities of a quarter mile or less. The
areas of dense fog will linger the longest south and east through
midnight, but improvement will advance northwest to southeast in
other locations through the evening as a frontal boundary moves
through the state.

Motorists are advised to slow down, use low beam headlights and
allow for extra distance between vehicles.
