...Thunderstorms developing over Lake Tahoe...

At 412 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking thunderstorms over
Carnelian Bay, or near Kings Beach and near Tahoe City, moving south
at 10 mph.

Winds in excess of 30 mph, lightning and small hail will be possible
with these storms through 5 pm.

Locations impacted include...
Alpine Meadows, Kings Beach, Tahoe City, Squaw Valley, Incline
Village, Northstar, Crystal Bay, Carnelian Bay, Sugar Pine Point S,
Incline Village-Crystal Bay, Northstar Ski Area, Homewood, William
Kent Campground, Dollar Point, Tahoe State Rec Area Campground, Tahoe
Vista, Silver Creek Campground, Meeks Bay Campground and
Sunnyside-Tahoe City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If on or near Lake Tahoe, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
