THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK...WITH A WEAK WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT
OVER COLORADO. MOISTURE CAUGHT UP IN THIS FLOW...COMBINED WITH
DAYTIME HEATING WILL PRODUCE SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE HIGH COUNTRY. THE UPPER RIDGE WILL
SHIFT EASTWARD INTO THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES BY THURSDAY...AS
AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE DEEPENS OVER CENTRAL
CALIFORNIA. A SOUTHERLY FLOW BETWEEN THESE TWO SYSTEMS...WILL HELP
TRANSPORT MONSOONAL MOISTURE INTO COLORADO FROM THE SOUTH. AS A
RESULT...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE
MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE END OF THE WORK WEEK. WARMER AND DRIER WEATHER
IS EXPECTED TO RETURN TO NORTH CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN COLORADO BY
