Snow has tapered off to occasional light snow shower activity or
flurries across the Adirondack region. Any additional
accumulation across the region is expected to be light, generally
a coating to 1 inch.

While snow rates have lessened, snow covered roads likely remain.

region for the morning commute.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow will redevelop this morning. Plan
  on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning
  commute. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are
  expected.

* WHERE...Southern Herkimer County.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for significant reductions in
  visibility at times. Maximum snowfall rates 1 to 2 inches per
  hour expected within the most intense snow bands.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy lake effect snow means
significant amounts of lake effect snow are forecast that will
make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel,
keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case

  inches are expected, with the greatest amounts across western
  portions of the advisory area.

* WHERE...Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times. Maximum snowfall rates up to one inch per hour expected
  within the most intense snow bands.
