.DISCUSSION...

Winds across the forecast site today will be from the north-
northwest, sustained around 15-20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph,
peaking in the mid-afternoon. High temperatures will be in the
low-20s, though with wind chill it will feel much colder. Tonight
temperatures will fall near or into the single digits, with winds
becoming a bit more westerly, gusting between 15-20 mph. Looking
at precipitation, isolated snow showers are expected over parts of
the Palmer Divide late this morning through late afternoon. At
this time, little to no snow is expected on top of Pikes Peak,
though cannot rule out a brief rogue shower. If snow does fall
over the Ramparts today, amounts will be light but wind-driven.

For Thursday, high and low temperatures will both be 5-10 degrees
warmer than today, with west winds and fewer gusts. Sustained
winds will be 10-15 mph, with gusts just over 20 mph. Thursday is
expected to be dry across the area with no precipitation.
