The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Freestone County in central Texas...
  Northeastern Limestone County in central Texas...

* Until 1245 AM CDT.

* At 944 PM CDT, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms continuing to
  produce heavy rain across the warned area. Between 4 and 7 inches
  of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
  are possible. Flash flooding is already occurring. Emergency
  management has reported several areas of flooding including
  bridges closed along Highway 84 due to high water, flooding within
  the city of Mexia, and other locations within Limestone and
  Freestone Counties. People located within the warning area will
  need to monitor for additional heavy rainfall through the
  overnight that could worsen flooding conditions.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mexia, Groesbeck, Teague, Fairfield, Wortham, Lake Limestone, Fort
  Parker State Park, Lake Mexia, Tehuacana, Kirvin, Fallon, Cotton
  Gin, Freestone, Shiloh, Farrar, Donie, Box Church, Dew and Lanely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Dangerous flash flooding is occurring or is imminent. Do not attempt
to travel unless you are fleeing flood waters. If you are in an area
subject to flooding, move to higher ground now.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
