...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
  counties, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Polk, San
  Jacinto, Trinity and Walker.

* WHEN...Through Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Widespread showers and thunderstorms will develop and move
    through portions of the Brazos Valley/Piney Woods this
    afternoon into tonight. Some of these storms may become
    strong to severe and produce heavy rainfall that may lead to
    localized flooding especially in areas with poor drainage or
    low-lying areas. Generally expecting widespread rainfall
    totals around two inches, but pockets of three to five inches
    will be possible especially if storms train over the same
    locations repeatedly.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
