THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...
  SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS...INCLUDING THE
  FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...HEMPSTEAD...
  HOWARD... LAFAYETTE...LITTLE RIVER...MILLER...NEVADA
  AND SEVIER. IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...BOSSIER AND CADDO.
  IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...MCCURTAIN. IN NORTHEAST TEXAS...
  BOWIE...CAMP...CASS...CHEROKEE...FRANKLIN...GREGG...
  HARRISON...MARION...MORRIS...PANOLA...RED RIVER...
  RUSK...SMITH...TITUS...UPSHUR AND WOOD.

* UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING

* SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP AND SPREAD
  OVER THE AREA TODAY WITH THE PASSAGE OF AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH
  OF LOW PRESSURE AND ALONG AND NEAR A COLD FRONT THAT WILL BE
  SLOW TO MOVE SOUTH AND EAST ACROSS THE AREA. LOCALLY HEAVY
  RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO THREE INCHES ARE EXPECTED...WITH
  ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS. THE SOIL REMAINS SATURATED AND THIS
  NEW RAINFALL WILL QUICKLY RUNOFF INTO OUR ALREADY SWOLLEN
  LOCAL AND AREA WIDE DRAINAGE SYSTEMS.

* LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS...ESPECIALLY IN THE VICINITY
  OF RAPIDLY RISING BAYOUS...CREEKS AND STREAMS...WILL BE MOST
  PRONE TO FLASH FLOODING DURING HEAVY RAINFALL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
