THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
ARKANSAS...SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...
NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...EAST TEXAS AND
NORTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

EXPECT TEMPERATURES THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON TO CLIMB INTO THE MID TO
UPPER 90S OVER THE ENTIRE REGION...AND WHEN COMBINED WITH THE
HUMIDITY...RESULTS IN HEAT INDICES RANGING FROM 100 TO 105
DEGREES. THOSE WHO MUST BE OUTSIDE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME SHOULD
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER...TAKE FREQUENT BREAKS IN THE SHADE OR AIR
CONDITIONED FACILITIES...AND WEAR LIGHTWEIGHT...LOOSE FITTING
CLOTHING. ALSO CHECK ON THE ELDERLY AS WELL. IN ADDITION...BE SURE
THAT YOUR OUTDOOR PETS HAVE PLENTY OF WATER AND A SHADED PLACE TO
REST...IF THEY CAN NOT BE BROUGHT INDOORS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

ANOTHER RARE MID SUMMER COLD FRONT WILL ARRIVE ON MONDAY AS IT
EVENTUALLY SETTLES SOUTH AND STALLS OVER SOUTHEAST TEXAS AND SOUTH
LOUISIANA. THIS BOUNDARY WILL INTERACT WITH A SERIES OF UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCES TO HELP PRODUCE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY. HOWEVER...THE THREAT FOR
ORGANIZED HAZARDOUS WEATHER REMAINS LOW AT THIS TIME.

ACTIVATION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL...AMATEUR RADIO
OPERATORS...AND STORM SPOTTERS WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
