THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
ARKANSAS...SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...NORTH CENTRAL LOUISIANA...
NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHEAST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE EXPANDING EASTWARD FROM THE
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL CONTINUE TO FUEL VERY HOT AND
HUMID CONDITIONS...RESULTING IN TEMPERATURES CLIMBING INTO THE
UPPER 90S TO IN EXCESS OF 100 DEGREES AREA WIDE THIS AFTERNOON.
WHEN COMBINED WITH THE HUMIDITY...HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE
FROM 105 TO 110 DEGREES. THUS...A HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT
THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING. IF SPENDING ANY TIME OUTDOORS...BE
SURE YOU DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AND LIMIT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES IF
POSSIBLE...TO AVOID HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES. IN ADDITION...ISOLATED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON OVER
NORTH LOUISIANA...EXTREME SOUTHERN ARKANSAS AND EASTERN TEXAS.
SOME OF THE STRONGER STORMS MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY GUSTY WINDS AND
BRIEF HEAVY RAINFALL BEFORE DIMINISHING THIS EVENING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...

THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL EXPAND FARTHER EAST ACROSS THE REGION
THROUGH MUCH OF THE UPCOMING WORK WEEK...RESULTING IN
TEMPERATURES NEARING OR EXCEEDING THE CENTURY MARK EACH DAY. WHEN
COMBINED WITH THE HUMIDITY...HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL APPROACH OR
EXCEED 105 DEGREES. THUS...ADDITIONAL HEAT ADVISORIES MAY BE
NEEDED ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE REGION THROUGH AT LEAST MID WEEK.

AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE EXPANDING EASTWARD FROM THE
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS WILL CONTINUE TO FUEL VERY HOT AND
