...BLACK ICE IS LIKELY TO REDEVELOP OVER MUCH OF THE REGION
TONIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING...

WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL THAT FELL ACROSS MUCH OF THE FOUR STATE REGION
EARLIER TODAY HAS ALREADY BEGUN TO MELT AS TEMPERATURES HAVE
CLIMBED ABOVE FREEZING THIS AFTERNOON. THERE ARE INDICATIONS THAT
THE SKY MAY GRADUALLY CLEAR FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST
OVERNIGHT OVER PORTIONS OF THE REGION...WITH THE CLEARING
SKY...LIGHT WINDS...AND SNOWPACK STILL IN PLACE ALLOWING FOR
TEMPERATURES TO FALL BELOW FREEZING OVER MUCH OF THE REGION
TONIGHT. FREEZING TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED AFTER SUNSET THIS
EVENING OVER THE INTERSTATE 30 CORRIDOR OF EXTREME NORTHEAST
TEXAS...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...AND AFTER 9 PM
OVER MUCH OF NORTH LOUISIANA AND THE REMAINDER OF EAST TEXAS. THIS
LONG DURATION OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES WILL ALLOW FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF BLACK ICE ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES...AS WELL AS
SOME ROADWAYS...WITH THIS THREAT LINGERING THROUGH MID TO LATE
MORNING THURSDAY.

MOTORISTS THAT MUST BE DRIVING TONIGHT SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION
DURING THEIR EVENING AND OVERNIGHT COMMUTE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY
DISCOURAGED UNTIL THE ICE IS ABLE TO MELT LATE THURSDAY MORNING.
