...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT LAC QUI PARLE AND SOUTHWESTERN
YELLOW MEDICINE COUNTIES THROUGH 515 PM CDT...

At 443 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 9 miles northeast of Porter, or 21 miles southwest of
Montevideo, moving northwest at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Madison, Dawson, Boyd, Bellingham, Marietta, Cerro Gordo, Providence,
Spring Creek, Nassau, Madison Airport, St. Leo, and Florida Creek
Wildlife Management Area.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 212 between mile markers 1 and 26.
 U.S. Highway 75 between mile markers 95 and 123.
 U.S. Highway 59 between mile markers 87 and 91.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
