  Clear Fork Brazos River Near Fort Griffin affecting Shackelford and
  Throckmorton Counties

Heavy rainfall that fell across parts of the Big Country overnight
has resulted in rising levels of the Clear Fork of the Brazos
River near Ft. Griffin. This will result in minor flooding in and
around Fort Griffin State Park.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Clear Fork Brazos River Near Fort Griffin.
* until Wednesday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  3:15 AM Monday the stage was 25.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 32.6 feet
  around 12 AM Tuesday. The river will fall below flood stage
  early Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 32.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding will occur. Water
  will overflow the left end of the old Fort Griffin-Throckmorton
  road.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 32.8 feet
  on May 28 1957.
