...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN SCHLEICHER AND
NORTHWESTERN SUTTON COUNTIES UNTIL 845 PM CDT...

At 759 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles west of Sonora, moving northwest at 10 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern
Schleicher and northwestern Sutton Counties, including the following
locations: I-10 Near The Crockett-Sutton County Line and The
Intersection Of I-10 And Ranch Road 1989.

This includes Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 380 and 398.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
