.DISCUSSION...

Southeast winds will increase today ahead of an approaching low
pressure system. Gusts of 40 to 50 mph are expected across central
South Dakota this afternoon and evening. Strong winds spread east on
Monday. Precipitation chances will return late tonight through
Monday night with strong to severe storms possible Monday afternoon
across south central and northeast SD. Minimum relative humidity
values this afternoon will range from 30 to 45 percent.

...LOW FIRE DANGER...

Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture content of grasses,
and other dry organic material on the ground, indicate that the
probability of a fast moving fire is low.  Outdoor burning under
these conditions can usually be performed with reasonable safety
precautions, but should be monitored.


The outlook for Monday afternoon...The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
