...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southern Vermont, including the following
  counties, Rutland and Windsor.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
  earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 641 PM EDT, rain and snowmelt is causing flooding.
  - The Ottauquechee River at West Bridgewater is in minor flood
    stage. At 6.5 feet, high water will impact low lying
    properties along the river near Route 4 from Killington
    downstream to Bridgewater. Bridgewater Corners will
    experience minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
