...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE CHARLESTON FROST/FREEZE PROGRAM TO
RESUME MARCH 1...

The National Weather Service in Charleston SC will resume the
frost and freeze program for Southeast SC and Southeast GA on
March 1. Thus, frost advisories, freeze watches and freeze
warnings will be issued as needed beginning on that date
according to the following criteria:

...Frost Advisory...

80 percent or greater probability that widespread or areas of frost
will occur. Patchy frost does not necessitate the issuance of a
frost advisory, except late in the spring when vegetation is
typically more sensitive.

...Freeze Watch...

50 percent or greater probability that temperatures will be
32 degrees or lower, usually within 12 to 48 hours.

...Freeze Warning...

80 percent or greater probability that temperatures will be
32 degrees or lower, usually within 12 to 24 hours.
