Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service State College PA
1034 AM EDT Thu Apr 11 2024

Another round of showers and thunderstorms will develop this
afternoon as a potent area of surface low pressure lifts through
Ohio. Locally heavy rain and localized flooding are possible
into early tonight, along with gusty southeasterly winds. A few
of the storms could become severe as well, primarily across the
western third of Pennsylvania.

High temperatures this afternoon will be generally in the low 60s
across the higher terrain of the north and west, and in the mid
to upper 60s respectively in the central valleys and Lower
Susquehanna Valley. The mercury will top out in the low 70s across
the far southwest.

A strong cold front will push east across the Commonwealth
tonight, ushering in cooler temperatures and gusty westerly winds
for Friday. There will be a continued chance of showers, though
rainfall amounts on Friday will be much lighter than those of
today.
