...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern Banks,
northwestern Clarke, southeastern Jackson and western Madison
Counties through 330 PM EDT...

At 305 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Nicholson, or 7 miles
south of Commerce, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind, pea sized hail and frequent cloud to
         ground lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Jefferson, Commerce, Danielsville, Arcade, Nicholson, Ila,
Athens-Clarke County, Westgate Park, James Holland Youth Sports Cmpx,
Pocataligo, Diamond Hill, Sandy Creek Recreation Area, Oconee
Heights, Barretts Mill, Apple Valley, and Neese.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
