Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

Mostly clear skies were present across the area this afternoon
with just a few cumulus clouds beginning to move through. As of 2
PM MDT (3 PM CDT), temperatures were ranging from 81 degrees in
Yuma to 90 degrees in Oakley.

OUTLOOK... Overnight lows tonight are forecast to fall into the
40s to low 50s. For Sunday, forecast highs are again in the 80s
with a few 90s possible followed by overnight lows in the 40s to
low 50s. Going into Monday, looking at a potential multi-hazard
day with critical fire weather conditions forecast as southerly
winds gust up to around 45 mph and afternoon highs climb again
generally into the 80s to low 90s, blowing dust and associated
visibility reductions possible, followed by strong to severe
thunderstorm potential during the evening-overnight hours with a
cold front moving through the area overnight. On Tuesday, post-
frontal northwesterly winds are forecast to gust to around 50-55
mph with blowing dust again possible.
