Widespread precipitation was spreading across Kansas this
afternoon with some locations witnessing freezing rain. Afternoon
temperatures were in the upper 20s and mid 30s across central and
eastern Kansas.

Widespread freezing rain will affect much of the region tonight
with ice accumulating making travel hazardous in some locations.
Numerous ice storm warnings are in affect across most of the
Heartland. Ice will begin to a accumulate on elevated surfaces
with some tree and power line damage expected. Overnight lows will
range from the teens in northern Nebraska to the mid 30s in
central Oklahoma.

Freezing rain will continue across the region for Sunday morning
but warmer temperatures will being to spread northward changing
the precipitation over to rain across southern Kansas. Daytime
highs will range from the warmer 50s in eastern Oklahoma to the
low 30s in central Kansas and eastern Nebraska.
