Clusters of showers and thunderstorms impacted portions of
central, eastern and southern Kansas overnight, as a cold front
moved south across Mid-America. The strongest activity produced
gusty winds and locally very heavy rain. Predawn temperatures were
mostly in the 70s.

Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will gradually decrease in
coverage early this morning across southern Kansas. A few isolated
afternoon thunderstorms are possible across southern Kansas, with
greater chances across Oklahoma. Forecast high temperatures are
in the 90s, with afternoon heat indices of 100 to 105 degrees
across far southern and southeast Kansas, southern Missouri and
Oklahoma.

Thunderstorm chances will continue across Oklahoma this evening.
Otherwise, dry weather will prevail regionwide tonight, with
forecast low temperatures in the 60s and 70s.
