UNDER MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES...TEMPERATURES WERE IN THE MID 30S IN NORTH
CENTRAL KANSAS WHILE THE REMAINING AREAS WERE IN THE 20S AS WEST TO
SOUTHWEST WINDS UP TO 10 MPH PREVAILED.

TODAY WILL BE THE LAST NICE DAY OF THE WEEK AS AN ARCTIC FRONT WILL
SURGE SOUTH SOUTHEAST ACROSS KANSAS LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.
PRIOR TO THE FRONT`S ARRIVAL...TEMPERATURES WILL SOAR INTO THE 50S
IN MOST AREAS. THE EXCEPTIONS WOULD BE THE WESTERN PLAINS AND
NEBRASKA WHERE HIGHS IN THE 40S ARE FORECAST.

TONIGHT WILL TURN NASTY. WHEN THE FRONT ARRIVES EARLY THIS EVENING
WINDS WILL ABRUPTLY SHIFT FROM THE SOUTHWEST AROUND 10 MPH...TO THE
NORTH AND GREATLY INCREASE TO 25 TO 35 MPH. A WIND ADVISORY IS IN
EFFECT FOR ALL OF CENTRAL AND SOUTH-CENTRAL KANSAS TONIGHT. AREAS OF
LIGHT RAIN WILL SPREAD ACROSS MANY AREAS LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH A
CHANGE OVER TO SNOW THIS EVENING. ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES OF
WIND-DRIVEN SNOW ARE LIKELY IN EASTERN NEBRASKA WHERE A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT.

LOWS WILL TUMBLE TO BETWEEN 10 AND 20 DEGREES...BUT WITH NORTH WINDS
FROM 25 TO 35 MPH...WIND CHILLS WILL LIKEWISE TUMBLE WITH NEBRASKA
CHILLING OUT THE MOST WITH INDICES FROM 10 TO 20 BELOW ZERO.
