SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS LINGERED FROM THE MORNING HOURS FOR
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST KANSAS. THERE HAVE BEEN SOME ISOLATED STRONG
TO SEVERE STORMS WITH QUARTER SIZED HAIL REPORTED. COOLER AIR
ASSOCIATED WITH THE THUNDERSTORMS THAT DROPPED TO THE 80S...WHILE
MOST OF CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST KANSAS HAD HIGHS IN THE LOWER TO MID
90S. WINDS WERE PRIMARILY OUT OF THE SOUTH AT 10 TO 15 MPH WITH
GUSTS TO 25 MPH.

TONIGHT: THUNDERSTORMS WILL PERSIST ACROSS MUCH OF THE  REGION.
ESPECIALLY SOUTHERN NEBRASKA...WESTERN...CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST
KANSAS IOWA AND NORTHERN MISSOURI.  SOME OF THESE STORMS MAY HAVE
HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS AS WELL AS HEAVY RAIN.  OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL BE
IN THE 60S BEHIND THE FRONT OVER NEBRASKA AND WESTERN KANSAS WHILE
THEY REMAIN IN THE MID 70S OVER THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION. WINDS
WILL DECREASE OVERNIGHT REMAINING FROM THE SOUTH OVER EASTERN KANSAS
AND OKLAHOMA AND EAST SOUTHEAST OVER NEBRASKA.

SUNDAY: A FEW THUNDERSTORMS MAY LINGER INTO THE MORNING HOURS ACROSS
SOUTHWEST AND CENTRAL KANSAS.  HOWEVER...THE MAIN STORY WILL
CONTINUE TO BE HEAT.  TEMPERATURES WILL AGAIN RETURN TO THE 90S AND
LOW 100S ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION WITH HEAT INDICES BETWEEN 105
AND 110 ACROSS MUCH OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA...EASTERN KANSAS...WESTERN
MISSOURI AND SOUTHEAST NEBRASKA.  WINDS WILL GENERALLY BE SOUTHERLY
AROUND 10 TO 20 MPH.
