SUNNY SKIES DOMINATED KANSAS TODAY WITH LIGHT NORTHERLY WINDS.  HIGH
TEMPERATURES WERE A LITTLE BELOW NORMAL THIS AFTERNOON RANGING FROM
THE MID 50S IN NORTHWEST KANSAS TO THE UPPER 60S IN SOUTHEAST
KANSAS.

TONIGHT, THE NEXT LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BE ENCROACHING ON THE
STATE.  SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME MORE LIKELY FROM WEST
TO EAST.  THE SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN WESTERN KANSAS
WILL START IN THE EARLY EVENING AND PROGRESS EAST THROUGH THE NIGHT.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REACH EASTERN KANSAS BY THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS.  SOME HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE WITH THESE
THUNDERSTORMS. OVERNIGHT LOWS WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 40S IN THE
WESTERN KANSAS TO THE MID 50S IN EASTERN KANSAS WITH THE WINDS
SHIFTING TO THE EAST AT 12-17 MPH.

FRIDAY WILL SEE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES WITH SCATTERED TO WIDESPREAD
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.  SOME HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE WITH
SOME OF THESE STORMS.  PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS OF OVER AN INCH ARE
POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS OF KANSAS.  HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL BE A
LITTLE BELOW NORMAL RANGING FROM THE MID 50S IN WESTERN KANSAS TO
NEAR 70 IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS. WINDS WILL BE OUT OF THE EAST SOUTHEAST
AT ABOUT 15-20 MPH.
