Mostly sunny and tranquil weather prevailed across Kansas today,
as high pressure settled southeast across Mid- America. Late
afternoon temperatures were mostly in the 80s.

Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will impact
western Kansas before midnight, with these chances shifting into
central and eastern portions of the state later tonight through
Friday morning. A few strong to severe storms are possible, mainly
this evening over western Kansas. Forecast low temperatures are
in the 60s.

Isolated to scattered shower and thunderstorm chances will
continue Friday, as a weak front approaches from the northwest. A
few strong to severe storms are possible during the afternoon and
evening. Forecast high temperatures are in the 80s and 90s.
