Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Wichita KS
452 PM CDT Sat Jun 24 2017

One word is all that is needed to describe today for the Central
Plains and that is spectacular. Temperatures ranged from the mid 70s
to lower 80s this afternoon. Cloud cover could be found over the
High Plains but otherwise the skies were just full of sunshine.
Variable winds had speeds of 5 to 15 mph.

After such a fabulous day, the evening will only be a continuation
of the conditions. Overnight low temperatures are anticipated to
drop to around 50 degrees in Nebraska and northeast Colorado. Kansas
will have a temperature spread of 10 degrees from 50 to the lower
60s with the lower values in the northwest corner and higher values
across south central. The lower 60s are also expected across
Oklahoma. Winds remain variable with speeds under 10 mph.

There are increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms to cap off
the weekend. High temperatures are going to be the same as Saturday;
winds are going to be the same as well.
