Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
537 AM CDT Fri Apr 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Chances for showers & isolated thunderstorms today, outside of
weakening line of showers in the Hwy 82 corridor this morning,
will primarily be limited to the Hwy 45 corridor, expanding
across the entire region on Saturday. Rain totals through the
weekend will be around a inch to an inch & a half southeast of
the Natchez Trace to near 2 inches to the northwest, with heaviest
rain occurring during the weekend. Increased humidity has kept
the chances for dense fog this morning & patchy fog redeveloping
again Friday night into Saturday morning. A final push of drier
air will move in late Sunday afternoon to evening. Cooler & drier
conditions move into the region during the weekend into early
next week before moderating by middle to late next week.
